Except Palmer and Gaiman fund the Scientology cult. Gaiman paid the cult half a million in 2010. Palmer is a pathetic, try-hard gong show contestant.

  2. PixieRebel10 says:

@blackholenebula1 Neither AFP or Neil are Scientologists. First off, there is nothing to relate AFP with that belief system except her relationship with Neil. Aside from those connections, there is nothing to connect AFP with Scientology. Neil, although brought up in Scientology, is no longer a practicing member & considers himself a Jew who creates his own beliefs. Just because his family practices a super dogmatic belief, doesn’t mean he still practices.

  3. pir312 says:

I actually think she has an amazing and unique voice
Not in this video though, she’s just having fun
But she can fucking kill it

  4. blackholenebula1 says:

Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman belong to a cult that opposes free speech and free movement. Scientology runs prison camps for its members, litigates enemies into silence and is responsible for suicides and suspicious deaths worldwide. Gaiman grew up being audited and intimidated himself and is used to lying. He may not even realize he’s a hypocrite. Scientology persecutes gay men and woman, by supporting Prop 8 in CA along with so many crazy scams and crimes I can’t list here.

NEVER SEEN SO MANY DAMN SKANKY HO’S IN ONE PLACE AT ONE TIME !

  6. dirtyliar says:

Amanda Palmers social commentaries are so relevant, she is genius incarnate. Shes not jealous of Gaga or anyone, its all about taking music and intellect to any height it can possibly reach, and she takes it to those heights and beyond with a flair that so many others have lost, and even few ever actually had.

  7. jess1ca0wnsy0u says:

it’s obvious she doesnt have the best voice.. but her creativity and performances are what gives her the most loyal fans ever!!!

  8. SiahneTheVamp says:

    Shit fucking yeah!

  9. SiahneTheVamp says:

    Fuck yeah!

  10. xforge says:

Criticisms, idiotic comments, what EVER, this is some SERIOUS DAMN FUN.

  11. rosiel7673 says:

I found it a hilarious, tongue-in-cheek deconstruction of deconstructionism, that intellectual hall of mirrors. Seemed like more a of a tribute to Gaga’s creative artifice than a criticism to me. Palmer is similarly constructive. I laughed my ass off.

  12. megarainbowlala says:

    Cheap, petty, jealous!

  13. stairwaygoddess says:

I really like that all the bodies aren’t perfect on the stage. That’s real to me.

  14. MisLuck says:

Laughed at this, it’s great that someone has the guts to sing a song that completely doesn’t go for they voice but they do it for fun.
It’s ok to be imperfect, the main point is to enjoy!

  15. sugrcoma says:

    She’s referencing Baudrillard’s “simulacra & simulation”

  16. gomezy3k says:

Amanda is awesome… Got to talk to her for a bit after one of her concerts…she is very funny and loves performing… She was a living statue for a while here in Vegas… Love her songs…

  17. youtubrgirl12345 says:

This is so her style. Amanda should totally meet Lady Gaga.

    @sk666
I wouldn’t say she is a “target” as much as she’s become an easily recognized symbol. She is so extremely visible that you couldn’t make a clearer statement based on a political extremist. Extremists at large are excellent symbols by way. They are big, flashy and easy to recognize and connect to certain memorable events, ideals or statements.
As such, this isn’t necessarily a personal attack but perhaps more aimed at what Gaga symbolizes.

  19. NotjustGrey says:

@sk666 This isn’t an attack on pop music, really.

I like a line from her song ‘Gaga, Palmer, Madonna’.

“If someone talented wants to make pop music, why should we worry when there’s so much other shit wrong?”

  20. sk666 says:

Lady Gaga is an easy target for anyone attacking pop music, which is a shame as she is about the only one that actually writes her own music.

  21. StabATramp says:

@LittleFascistPanties I couldn’t have put it better if I tried!

  22. elydis says:

@araispoetry bluffing with her (Simulacrum) on this logical musical…

  23. Sebastianlordo says:

@araispoetry Thank you so much! wow, Amanda’s speech is so true it gave me goosebumps.

  24. araispoetry says:

…in which Lady Gaga can be considered trapped inside the endless decontextualisation of her own reappropriations, problematising her own subjectivity in a post-modern deconstruction. Ending inevitably in a seductive mirror of narcissism. Where we must ask ourselves, whether her illusory “poker face” has indeed freed her from the conception of feminity as masquerade, or chained her into a post-structuralist prison of ego and arduousness(?)
    CAN’T READ MY, CAN’T READ MY….

  25. araispoetry says:

@Sebastianlordo She’s a consumer and a product, art of conduct, coz she’s buying what she’s selling, she’s not lying, she’s just trying to write songs rebelling!

Just like madonna in the 80′s, bluffing with her (something) on this logical musical continuum, she typifies Modriarghs(?) argument that we no longer have the ability to make sense of the distinction between nature and artifice, thus a new culture emerges where femininity can be read as artifice, the woman as signifer…
